Dell XPS 17 and Alienware M17x with Sandy Bridge

Dell has announced new XPS 17 and Alienware M17 laptops with the 2nd Generation Intel Core “Sandy Bridge” processors.

The Dell XPS 17 features an Intel Core i3/i5/i7 CPU (the i7 builds will include WiDi support), a WLED display – up to 1080p (3D panel is optional), a chiclet keyboard, an Nvidia GeForce 500M series graphics card, JBL speakers, and a Skype HD-ready webcam.

The Dell Alienware M17x rev 3 comes with an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, a WLED-backlit 120Hz display has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, Wireless HD, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M 1.5GB or AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1/2GB graphics card.

The Dell XPS 17 is expected to debut on February 1st and starts at $1,449, while  the M17x rev 3 which is set to become available on January 10 and starting price of $1,499.
