Sony VAIO X Series is the world’s lightest Laptop

The new Sony VAIO X Series Laptop is the world’s lightest Laptop, and this 11.1″ scratch-resistant display has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and uses LED backlight, weighs 1.6 pounds. It is based on Intel’s “Menlow” platform and includes an Intel Atom Z550 2GHz processor, the GMA 500 integrated graphics, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, and a 64GB or 128GB solid state drive, 14-hour large Lithium-ion battery, the keyboard is milled from aluminum.

The VAIO X ultraportable sports and the option for a built-in GPS, Stereo A2DP Bluetooth technology, 802.11n wireless, a Gigabit LAN port, a web camera, 2 x USB ports, Memory Stick Duo and Secure Digital card readers, and a VGA output.

Retailing for around $1299.99 and following the Windows 7 launch.
