Hewlett-Packard has announced the HP Envy 14 and 17, their new high-performance laptops for consumers.
The HP Envy 14 is a 14.5-inch laptop which will offer you an HD Radiance display 59% brighter than any laptop with a standard display, comes with Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processors, a switchable graphics solution including the Intel GMA HD integrated and ATI Radeon 5650 1GB dedicated GPU, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 640GB of hard disk space or 160/256GB SSD, a DVD writer, a 2-in-1 digital media reader, 8-cell battery, weighs 5.25 pounds.
The HP Envy 17 is a 17-inch laptop which comes with Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7 processors, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5830 1GB dedicated graphic card, up to 8GB of DDR3-1333 memory, support for two 2.5″ storage devices enabling up to 2TB of hard drive storage and up to 320GB solid state drive capacity, DVD SuperMulti or Blu-ray drive, two USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 port, a 5-in-1 digital media reader, standard 6-cell battery, weighs 7.51 pounds.
Both the HP Envy 14 and the Envy 17 will surely offer you some impressive specs. Among them we find Intel Core i5/i7 processors, ATI Mobility Radeon HD graphics cards, HP TrueVision HD webcams, three USB ports, eSATA port, Gigabit Ethernet, Mini-Display outputs, VGA and HDMI outputs, 802.11n Wi-Fi and optional 3D/WWAN, the Beats Audio, a UV painted backlit keyboard with numeric pad. It runs Windows 7 Professional, Premium, or Ultimate operating system.
The HP Envy 14 will be available in the United States starting June 27 with prices starting at $999.99. The HP Envy 17 will hit the market on May 19 with prices starting at $1,399.99.
