Lake Forest-based Clover Systems has released the new SunBook 10.1-inch netbook, featuring the LED backlit transflective LCD display. This allows you to use the SunBook anywhere from pitch dark to direct sunlight, and greatly increases the battery life.
In daylight, the backlight can be turned off completely, cutting the power consumption and extending battery life. Reflective mode provides 1024 x 600 resolution in black & white, providing battery life up to 12 hrs. or more.
The SunBook is powered by a 1.66 GHz Atom N450 single-core processor, 1GB of DRR2 RAM, a 250GB hard drive, Intel GMA 3150 integrated graphics, a 0.3 megapixel webcam, a media card reader, Ethernet LAN, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, three USB 2.0 ports, and Windows 7 Starter OS.
