Toshiba has recently announced a new Satellite R800 series slim and light laptops. The series includes the 13.3-inch Satellite R830, the 14-inch Satellite R840 and the 15.6-inch Satellite R850.
The Satellite R830 is made of magnesium, and only weighs 3.2 pounds. The Satellite R840 and R850 have High Stiffness Resin casing.
The Satellite R800 series laptops are based on the Sandy Bridge processor, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 640GB HDD (or SSD), DVD burner, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 3.0, eSATA port, VGA webcam, multi-card reader, HDMI output, and a Tecra docking connector.
The Satellite R800 series laptops are estimated to be available during the second quarter 2011 throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa.
